The Paducah Dragons came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 45-8 win over Throckmorton on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-4.
Jakyen Wright was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Paducah's points. Darren Mackey was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Paducah's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Throckmorton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Paducah will face off against Rule at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Throckmorton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richland Springs at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th.
