The Montgomery Tigers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Northwood with a 45-40 victory. The victory was just what Montgomery needed coming off of a 45-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, Northwood had strong showings from Jahari Mccoy, who scored 28 points, and Ken'Tyreon Eddie, who scored 12 points along with eight blocks and seven rebounds. Mccoy scored a full 70% of Northwood's points, the 15th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Montgomery's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Montgomery will head out on the road to face off against LaSalle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Logansport at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Logansport is ranked 307th, while Northwood is ranked 305th).
