Fort Edward had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Granville Golden Horde 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Flying Forts sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-21, 25-11.
Addison Chester paced Fort Edward's offense, picking up nine kills. Chester got some help from Kyley Varney and her 21 assists. Stella Mullen controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Granville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
