After losing to St. Joseph the last time they met, Staples decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Staples Wreckers came out on top against the St. Joseph Cadets by a score of  59-46  on Friday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Wreckers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Staples to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Marley Belzer, who  went 7-for-9  to rack up 14 points and seven  rebounds. Those 14  points gave  Belzer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Ella Harrington, who  made all 5  shots she took for 13 points.
 Staples was working as a unit and  finished the game with 15  assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  assist total in three consecutive  matches.
Staples pushed their record up to 10-8 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for St. Joseph, their  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Staples will head out to  square off against Westhill  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for St. Joseph, they will venture away from home to  face off against Danbury  at 1:00  p.m.  on Monday.
