1A Special District 2 (8 Man) recap October 29, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 1A Special District 2 (8 Man) this week, Camas Valley beat Sherman 56-20. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Hornets.
Gilchrist made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 653 from 716. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 76-6 victory over Butte Falls last week.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Powers and Camas Valley. The Cruisers comes into the matchup ranked 14th in the state, while Kirsten Wolfe's team ranks fourth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Powers takes on the Hornets. Nick Gonzales' team has allowed 240 points this season, while Camas Valley has given up 126.
The Grizzlies led the league in scoring this week by notching 76 points on the Loggers.
