On Friday, Colonial Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Bob Jones Academy, taking the game 39-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Colonial Christian.
Colonial Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meg Barfield, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Barfield has scored at least a third of Colonial Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Minton, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Colonial Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Bob Jones Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Colonial Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Mooresville Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Bob Jones Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lake Pointe Academy at 6:30 p.m.
