Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Waukesha North walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Northstars, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Waukesha North and bumps their season record up to 17-9. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Wauwatosa East, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Coming up, Waukesha North will square off against Brookfield Central on Tuesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Northstars surely won't give up without a fight. Wauwatosa East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
