After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kings Mountain, The Ashbrook Greenwave were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 24-9 victory over Huss. That's another feather in the cap for Ashbrook, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ashbrook's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JJ Gordon, who rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Gordon was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. Jamir Fox and his 91 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Ashbrook's win.
Despite the loss, Huss still got an impressive performance from Javarion Brown, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
