The Angola Hornets and the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Angola Hornets had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 45-42. Angola was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cadets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.
When it comes to explaining why Angola lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bailey Holman. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Stillman, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Angola's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-13.
Angola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Woodlan is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
