Halstead got a massive performance out of Noah Diehl, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Diehl has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Cayden Cornejo was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Halstead's win bumped their record up to 2-8-2. As for Nickerson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Looking ahead, Halstead will be playing in front of their home fans against Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nickerson, they will challenge Andale on Friday.
