Wasatch hasn't had much luck against Springville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wasps will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Wasatch took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Mountain Crest with a sharp 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wasps, who have now won three matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Adalena Provost looked comfortable as she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Wasatch got a massive performance out of Brylee Smith, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave Smith a new career-high. Sydnee McPhie was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Wasatch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain Crest only posted a batting average of .318.
Meanwhile, Springville hadn't done well against Spanish Fork recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red Devils blew past the Dons 17-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.
Springville let Allyx Haveron and Morgan Fairbourne run wild. Haveron fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 4-for-5, while Fairbourne went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalia Sjoberg, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Wasatch now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Springville, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Wasatch might still be hurting after the 20-8 loss they got from Springville when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Wasps avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
