The West Haven Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Cheshire Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Haven is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
West Haven can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Notre Dame 46-6 at home. Given West Haven's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Notre Dame is ranked 45th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Haven got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camren Kemp out in front who rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Demarco Eady also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Cheshire's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 24-7 fall against North Haven.
With West Haven's victory and Cheshire's defeat, both teams now sport identical 7-1 records.
West Haven was able to grind out a solid win over Cheshire in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, winning 21-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Haven since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
