Menlo-Atherton hasn't had much luck against Sequoia recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bears will welcome the Ravens at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Menlo-Atherton will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against El Camino on Friday. The Bears put the hurt on the Colts with a sharp 16-9 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Juliana Pandolfo

03/29/25 vs Lynbrook | 3 |
03/19/25 @ Silver Creek | 3 |
05/03/24 @ South San Francisco | 3 |
04/25/24 @ Jefferson | 3 |
The team relied heavily on Juliana Pandolfo, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Emma Loose was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sequoia). They never let Jefferson get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won seven in a row.
Woodsome Devon made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Elkington Jamie was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Mehta Nisha, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.
Sequoia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Menlo-Atherton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Sequoia, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Menlo-Atherton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Sequoia struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Menlo-Atherton suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Sequoia when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
