The Accelerate Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Holy Cross Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-43 win at home. Accelerate Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.
Leading Accelerate Christian to victory were Danity Diaz and Audrey Jaramillo. Diaz dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Jaramillo dropped a double-double on 38 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jaramillo has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Kreusel, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
The victory got Accelerate Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Holy Cross Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Accelerate Christian will take on Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Holy Cross Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wichita Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th.
