The Wekiva Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Lake Howell 70-30 at home. Considering Wekiva has won five contests by more than 21 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Tierra Coleman, who scored 27 points along with seven steals. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Jasmine Pooler was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The win (which was Wekiva's third in a row) raised their record to 9-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Lake Howell, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Wekiva won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lake Minneola at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in Lake Minneola's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 matches. Lake Howell won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East River at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. Hopefully East River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday.
