The Hershey Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Palmyra Cougars at 7:05 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hershey is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Palmyra in Pennsylvania (Hershey is ranked 115th, while Palmyra is ranked 321st).
Hershey fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lower Dauphin on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Despite 62 more yards than Lower Dauphin, Hershey couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Although Hershey took the loss, they still got scores from Anthony Vasquezi and Angel Cabrera.
Meanwhile, Palmyra's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Milton Hershey, falling 41-6. Palmyra was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.
Hershey's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Palmyra, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Hershey beat Palmyra 17-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hershey since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
