Baseball Recap: Langham Creek Takes a Loss

The Langham Creek Lobos came up short against the Spring Lions on Saturday and fell 9-5. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caden Thomas put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

Thomas wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Santiago Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Jayce Coto, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Langham Creek's record is now 10-16. As for Spring, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

Looking ahead, Langham Creek will challenge Cypress Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Spring, they will face off against Nimitz at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
