Hickory's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets with a sharp 16-1 win. The Red Tornadoes' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Madelyn Morphis was a standout: she scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Sierra Hill was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Hickory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
