St. Joseph has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cape May County Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While St. Joseph didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Bridgeton on Thursday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Liam Hurley made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Hurley was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Cassidy, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joziah Rivera, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Cape May County Tech can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Wildwood Catholic with a sharp 13-6 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
St. Joseph is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cape May County Tech, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-7-1.
