Grand Blanc has gone a perfect 10-0 against Carman-Ainsworth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. At the plate, Grand Blanc saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Schultz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three match, Carman-Ainsworth brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on Bentley with a sharp 19-4 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Cavaliers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Alexis Cruz was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Amiya Adkisson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Carman-Ainsworth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Carman-Ainsworth's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Grand Blanc, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Carman-Ainsworth's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grand Blanc hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. It's a different story for Carman-Ainsworth, though, as they've only averaged .172. Will they be able to contain Grand Blanc's hitters?
