Basketball Recap: Glendale Prep Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. John Paul II Catholic last Thursday, Glendale Prep Academy came back down to earth. The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins fell to the Camp Verde Cowboys 66-62. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Griffins of the 66-46 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Jordan McMahon-Fullmer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 14 rebounds for Camp Verde. McMahon-Fullmer is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Julian Perez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Glendale Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Camp Verde, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

Glendale Prep Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mountainside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendale Prep Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three games. As for Camp Verde, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Red Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Camp Verde is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.
