The Einstein Titans and the Lanham Christian Lions will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Einstein is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Einstein came up short against Bethesda-Chevy Chase and fell 48-38. While losing is never fun, Einstein can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Bethesda-Chevy Chase is ranked 53rd).
Meanwhile, Lanham Christian came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Northwest with points to spare, taking the game 65-49.
Lanham Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Diego Joy, who scored 17 points. The contest was Joy's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Naz Joy, who scored 16 points.
Einstein now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Lanham Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
