The Superior Spartans will take on the Duluth East Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Superior is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
On Thursday, Superior beat Proctor 3-1.

Superior had a senior duo take command as Brekyn Warburton had 18 digs and two assists and Anna Matthias had seven digs and three aces. Matthias is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Duluth East hadn't done well against Bemidji recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lumberjacks. The Greyhounds not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0).
Duluth East got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 30-28.
Superior better keep an eye on Evelyn Viney. She was instrumental in Duluth East's win, getting ten digs and three assists.
Duluth East's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Superior, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Superior has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Duluth East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Superior couldn't quite get it done against Duluth East in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
