Make it eight blowout wins for the East Central HomeSchool Patriots this season. They breezed by Southern Christian on the road to the tune of 52-24 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for East Central HomeSchool who now have five in a row.
Micah Coalson was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with eight steals and six assists. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Rea, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Southern Christian still got an impressive performance from Cason Oswald, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
East Central HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Southern Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southern Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Patriots are ranked 78th). As for Southern Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully East Central HomeSchool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
