Vermont Academy extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping their season record up to 6-1 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Proctor Academy Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Logan Sinacola made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched. Sinacola was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucas Sinacola, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Sinacola is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Milo Tucker was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Vermont Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .516 or higher in three consecutive contests.

As for Proctor Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Proctor Academy's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Rosenshine, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That hit was Rosenshine's first of the season.

Coming up, Vermont Academy will be playing at home against Holderness at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats are facing the Bulls at the right time seeing as the Bulls are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Proctor Academy, they will face off against New Hampton School at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
