Softball Recap: Viewpoint Has No Trouble Against Oakwood

Viewpoint won the last time they faced Oakwood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots put the hurt on the Owls with a sharp 21-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Emjay Peck made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Gwyneth Lewis was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Meehan, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Viewpoint lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Viewpoint's record now sits at 16-2. As for Oakwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Viewpoint nor Oakwood have any future games scheduled.
