If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Ridgeland. They will be playing at home against Cross Keys at at 7:30 PM on Friday. Ridgeland are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Cross Keys are stumbling in off of seven consecutive losses.
While not quite a landslide, the game between Ridgeland and Northwest Whitfield last Friday was still a pretty decisive one as Ridgeland wrapped it up with a 35-20 victory. No one put up better numbers for Ridgeland than junior Jordan Blackwell, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 178 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Cross Keys suffered a grim 6-33 defeat to Pataula Charter Academy. Cross Keys were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-26.
Ridgeland's win lifted them to 3-2 while Cross Keys's loss dropped them down to 0-7. We'll see if Ridgeland's success rolls on or if Cross Keys are able to steal their positive momentum.
