On Monday, Legacy Charter came up short against Lyman and fell 61-53.
Legacy Charter's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emanuel Longchamp, who scored ten points, and Maven Marrero who scored nine points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Marrero grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle James, who scored ten points.
Max Mattingly was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds for Lyman. Mattingly set a new season high mark in blocks with four. Another player making a difference was Joseph Lewis, who scored ten points.
Legacy Charter now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Lyman, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy Charter will challenge Cornerstone Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Averaging 64.5 so far this season, Cornerstone Charter Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Legacy Charter better be ready for a challenge. As for Lyman, they will head out on the road to face off against Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Horizon will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
