The International Christian Titans couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Kohelet Yeshiva on Monday, falling 57-23. International Christian lost against Kohelet Yeshiva in their previous head to head back in January of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-59 score last time.
Kohelet Yeshiva's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asher Kahlon, who scored 23 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kahlon has scored at least 25% of Kohelet Yeshiva's points. Daniel Benjamini was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
International Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. International Christian will take on Girard College at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, they will be playing at home against Barrack Hebrew Academy at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
