The biggest upset of the week belonged to Liberty Union, who took down 245th ranked Harvest Prep, 41-38. ADAM SNYDER threw for 82 yards and one touchdown and ran for 110 yards in the win.
SNYDER and JUSTIN REEVES provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Warriors. The connection was good for 60 yards, the longest such play in Mid-State - Cardinal this season.
The Lions' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground JACOB BASSO chipped in 125 yards. COLE HOWES helped Liberty Union's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
REEVES was the best wideout in the league this week as Liberty Union topped Harvest Prep. REEVES racked up two receptions for 63 yards.
Liberty Union's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. AUSTIN VANNATTA has thrown for 657 yards and four touchdowns this season, while REEVES has 26 catches for 281 yards. BASSO leads the league in rushing with 815 yards.
A big matchup in Mid-State - Cardinal this week will be when Dan Johnson's team takes on West Jefferson. As it stands, the Lions are in third, while the Roughriders are in second.
Licking Heights extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating West Jefferson, 36-16. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Hornets.
