The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wayne City in their matchups with Johnston City: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Wayne City saw an underclassman step up: Kenzie Seidel scored 20 points. Seidel is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Greenlea Vaughan was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Wayne City has been struggling recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Johnston City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-11.
Wayne City will be playing at home against Farina South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johnston City, they will head out on the road to take on Webber at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
