Basketball Recap: Hauser Skates Past Southwestern with Ease

There's no place like home for Hauser, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Southwestern Spartans 62-24 on Tuesday. With that win, the Jets brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.

Norah Berkenstock continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten assists. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (seven). June Berkenstock was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Despite the loss, Southwestern still got an impressive performance from Tanna Tatlock, who posted 15 points and five rebounds. That was a full 62.5% of Southwestern's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Hauser now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Southwestern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Hauser wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-26 victory against Indianapolis Lutheran on the 5th. As for Southwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-14 defeat against Purdue Polytechnic on the 6th.
