The Surprise Valley Hornets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 69-34 win over Dunsmuir. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Surprise Valley has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Surprise Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Casey Grove, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Grove has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Bartolo, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Dunsmuir still got an impressive performance from Michael Kellar, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That was a full 50% of Dunsmuir's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. John Khan was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Surprise Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Dunsmuir, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

As for Dunsmuir, they will be playing at home against the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Surprise Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday.
