Taos (N.M.) defeat West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, N.M.) 45-0 after a strong game from
Isaac Gonzales, who rushed for five touchdowns. Thanks to solid play, the senior now has 13 touchdowns for the year.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Gonzales in the first quarter, the Tigers led 30-0 at the half.
Taos grew its lead to 45 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored two times in the third, including once on a kick return touchdown by
Devin Ortega.
The Tigers had given up an average of 17.0 points prior to the contest.
The win brought Taos' winning streak to three games.
In a 3A District 2 game next week Taos (6-1) takes on Robertson, and West Las Vegas (1-7) will go up against Pojoaque Valley also in a 3A District 2 game.
