On Saturday Centennial take on Marriotts Ridge at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Centennial, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Centennial couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-37 to Glenelg.
Meanwhile, Marriotts Ridge had to kick off their season on the road last week, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Mt. Hebron as they made off with a 21-0 win. The Marriotts Ridge offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the match anyway.
Marriotts Ridge's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Centennial's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Marriotts Ridge's success rolls on or if Centennial are able to steal their positive momentum.
