After two games on the road, Phillips is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Belgreen Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Phillips will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 408th, while Belgreen is ranked 129th).
Last Tuesday, Phillips had to suffer through a rough 55-19 loss at the hands of Belgreen. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Phillips in their matchups with Belgreen: they've now lost five in a row.
Phillips bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Belgreen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Phillips took a serious blow against Belgreen in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 55-19. Will Phillips have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
