Meanwhile, Johnson Creek came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pumas a 4-0 shutout.
The result came thanks to Hailee Walk's shutout, as she gave up just six hits.
On the hitting side, Madi Brigowatz and Libby Burbach did most of the damage at the plate: Brigowatz scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Burbach went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Buglass, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Fort Atkinson hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Johnson Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
