Foothills Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Coastal Academy since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will face off against the Stingrays at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Foothills Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Maranatha Christian. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Emma Romeka was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kenzie Gomez and Brooklyn Fabulic did most of the damage at the plate: Gomez went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Fabulic went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave Fabulic a new career-high. Gabby Wolford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Foothills Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maranatha Christian only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, Coastal Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 12-2 win.
Coastal Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Foothills Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Foothills Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Coastal Academy in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Stingrays have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
