Not much got past Ariela Yslava, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Palma off the board. Yslava has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dani Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Gilroy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palma only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Christopher's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prospect.
Chevelle Quistian was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brianna Diaz Cruz, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
Gilroy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Christopher, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

It's a different story for Christopher, though, as they've been averaging only 2.1 strikeouts. Will Gilroy keep running through batters, or will the Cougars buck the trend?
