Viewmont has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Bonneville Lakers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Viewmont has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three matches.
On Wednesday, Viewmont earned a 61-53 victory over Northridge.
Viewmont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mary Carr out in front who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Mulitalo, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bonneville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 69-36 defeat at the hands of Box Elder. Bonneville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-15.
Viewmont has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Bonneville, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9.
Viewmont took their victory against Bonneville in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 63-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Viewmont since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
