The North Miami Beach Chargers and the Pine Crest Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the North Miami Beach Chargers had to settle for second. They fell to the Panthers 58-54. North Miami Beach was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pine Crest apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, North Miami Beach still got an impressive performance from Jaycob Joseph, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 38.9% of North Miami Beach's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jonathan Joseph was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Leading Pine Crest to victory were Rowan Hoffman and Dylan Wigoda. Hoffman scored 14 points, while Wigoda scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Teich, who scored eight points.
North Miami Beach has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Pine Crest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-12.
North Miami Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine Crest, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 81-43 loss vs. Mater Lakes Academy on the 8th.
