North Clarion suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Tuesday. They were dealt a 91-41 loss at the hands of Clarion-Limestone. While losing is never fun, North Clarion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while Clarion-Limestone is ranked 273rd).
Meanwhile, Redbank Valley put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 66-41 margin over Allegheny-Clarion Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Redbank Valley has posted since December 19, 2023.
Redbank Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kieran Fricko, who scored 18 points along with six assists. Another player making a difference was Mason Clouse, who scored 11 points along with four steals and two blocks.
North Clarion dropped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Redbank Valley, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
