Hamilton faced Chaparral in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Huskies won by a set and slipped past the Firebirds 2-1. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Firebirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Makinlee Landis paced Hamilton's offense, picking up eight kills. Landis got some help from Hailey Johnston and her 16 assists. Finally, Landis was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Chaparral, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-3.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against South Salem on the 27th. As for Chaparral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against St. Henry on the 27th.
