Basketball Recap: Winamac Piles Up the Points Against Argos

After losing to Argos the last time they met, Winamac decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Winamac Warriors simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Argos Dragons 61-34. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winamac to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brendan Hines, who went 5 of 10 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Will Malchow, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Winamac was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Winamac and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Argos, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Winamac will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Culver Community at 7:00 p.m. As for Argos, they will head out to square off against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
