Brody Hoeft and Jonathan Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hoeft tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Miller struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Northland Pines' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 7-8 when he doesn't).
