Having just played yesterday, the Tabiona Tigers will get right back to it and host the Mount Vernon Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tabiona has five straight victories, Mount Vernon has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Wednesday, Tabiona didn't have too much trouble with Altamont as they won 73-55.

Tabiona had a senior duo take command as Bryson Fabrizio went 9 of 13 on his way to 23 points and four steals and Gavin Rhoades dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fabrizio has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Verdis Winder, who posted eight points.
Meanwhile, Mount Vernon took a blow against Salt Lake Academy back in December of 2024, falling 64-33.
Tabiona will have to contain Andre Hernandez as he made an impact in Mount Vernon's last game. He put up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Robert Wharton, who had six points.
Tabiona's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Mount Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Tabiona hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 57.4 points per game. It's a different story for Mount Vernon, though, as they've been averaging only 23.3 points. The only thing between Tabiona and another offensive beatdown is Mount Vernon. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Tabiona against Mount Vernon in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 74-37 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Mount Vernon's Andrew McMurdie, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be easier for Tabiona to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
