American Christian School took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). Everything went their way against Harmony Christian as American Christian School made off with a 69-46 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as American Christian School also won the last time the pair played back in January.
American Christian School had a senior duo take command as Caleb Ritchwood scored 26 points and Japhet Santiago scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Christian Cilento, who scored 8 points.
Despite the loss, Harmony Christian still got an impressive performance from Benjamin Minton, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Minton scored a full 43.5% of Harmony Christian's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lince Ulter, who scored 8 points.
American Christian School's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Harmony Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
American Christian School will head out on the road to face off against Petrides at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Harmony Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against American Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
