Volleyball Recap: Dundy County-Stratton's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Dundy County-Stratton lost against Perkins County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainsmen. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Dundy County-Stratton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Dundy County-Stratton still got an impressive performance from Bree Lutz, who had 21 assists. Lutz has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.

Dundy County-Stratton's defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5. As for Perkins County, the victory snapped their losing streak at five matches and leaves them with a 12-13 record.

Looking ahead, Dundy County-Stratton will be taking part in a tournament against Sutherland at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perkins County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hershey on the 14th.
