Crater and Churchill are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Crater Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Churchill Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Crater is ranked 97th, while Churchill is ranked 77th).
Last Friday, Crater ended up a good deal behind Eagle Point and lost 39-21.
Ben Higginson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 54 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Churchill got themselves on the board against North Eugene on Friday, but North Eugene never followed suit. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 47-0 victory over the Highlanders. The result was nothing new for Churchill, who have now won three matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Churchill's victory bumped their season record to 3-4 while Crater's defeat dropped theirs to 2-5.
Crater came up short against Churchill in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 13-7. Will Crater have more luck at home instead of on the road?
