The Edgewater Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Ocoee Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edgewater's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Ocoee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Edgewater's win against Colonial wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Grenadiers 3-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Grenadiers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Robert Viera III spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Edgewater is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Coron Victor was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Yusef Charles, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Ocoee won against Circle Christian on Friday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Knights put the hurt on Lake Buena Vista with a sharp 14-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Dwight Oneal was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Shimar Woodard was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Ocoee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory made it two in a row for Ocoee and bumps their season record up to 9-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Edgewater, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Edgewater has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ocoee struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Edgewater took their victory against Ocoee when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
